The Three-Minute Picture Show 2011 Season Kick-Off Party & Fundraiser!

Join The Three-Minute Picture Show at Root Division on Friday, June 3rd for the 2011 Season Kick-Off Party & Fundraiser! Sip cocktails, watch 3MPS hits of yore, enter to win fabulous prizes and learn how you can take part in this year’s Three-Minute Picture Show! Your donation at the door directly helps The-Three Minute Picture Show fund its 2011 programs and your donations at the bar help Root Division. It’s a karmic win-win.

The Three-Minute Picture Show solely exists to encourage anyone, regardless of experience, to dedicate 30 days to creativity. Participants sign up, dedicate the month of July to creating a 3 minute film, receive encouraging emails all month long, and are rewarded when their films play on the big screen in front of a live audience at the fun “Black Tie” Gala & Film Screening for adults and The Twinkling To-Do, for films made by kids ages 6-17. Kids can work solo, with friends or even with adults. This year’s film screenings take place in Portland at the Clinton Street Theater on August 20 and San Francisco on August 27 at the Victoria Theatre.

Paxton Gate PDX

It’s a 3MPS double feature at Paxton Gate Portland! Join us from 11am to noon for a sampling of films from our Twinkling To-Do Film Screenings. These amazing films are made by kids ages 6 to 17, working on their own, or in collaboration with other kids, or even their favorite adults. Then from 1pm to 2pm, we’ll screen some of our Black Tie Gala’s greatest hits – this is the grown-up version of the Three-Minute Picture Show. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and tell you how to see your own films on the big screen in this year’s Twinkling To-Do and Black Tie Gala & Film Screening at the Clinton Street Theater in August!
